Perfect Pot Holders: Free Crochet Pattern

Perfect Pot Holders

When it comes to crocheting practical items, potholders are a popular go-to! Make these simple crochet potholders using my easy pattern! I make mine double-thick using the overcasting stitch. Made with cotton yarn. This pattern may be somewhere else on the internet, in a different context, but here is mine for the way I make my pot holders.

Ch 27 Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and sc in each ch across. Ch 1, turn
Row 2: sc in 1st sc, *hdc in next sc, sl st in next sc*, repeat * to * across, sc in last sc, ch 1 turn

Row 3: sc in 1st sc, *hdc in next sl st, sl st in next hdc*, repeat * to * across, sc in last sc, ch 1, turn
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until piece is square. Make two and then using a steel yarn needle and the same yarn used for making them, combine them using an overcasting stitch.

A New Year And A New Pattern!

Soft Bobbles Baby Blanket aka Effortless Baby Blanket

Crochet baby blankets are very popular and there are so many out there! Here's a little pattern for you to whip up for the newborn in your life. This pattern is very simple and very easy to make.

There are many on the web that are very similar to this with soft cluster stitches and thus is how I got my inspiration to make my own! I actually used a dish cloth pattern and turned it into a baby blanket. The slanted double crochet clusters make for a weighted blanket with soft bobbles. At first glance, the blanket seems complex but it's really super easy! Make one in beautiful baby blues or choose your own color palette!

I'm not perfect at making crochet patterns but I hope all the information any crocheter would need is in here!

Hook Size: H8 Gauge: 1” across cluster Measures: 32” wide by 34"-36” long (sizes vary by crafter) Supplies: 2 skeins each of three contrasting yarns. I used one of my favorite brands of yarn- C…

Light & Lacy Crochet Baby Blanket

Baby pink, sage green and a soft cream come together to make a delightful crochet baby blanket. I may have put too many stitches on the sides because it made for a ruffled border, which is fine because I think it looks cute that way! The pattern is quite easy!

Create this light-weight, wonderful crochet blanket in a matter of hours! Slanted shell clusters with small blocks of double crochets in a lacy form make this a super easy blanket to whip up! Use it was a great tummy-time blanket or make it longer for the perfect lounge chair lapghan on a cool Summer night! You can make it in the colors shown here, or use your favorite "cake" yarn for non-stop crocheting fun!

Supplies: Hook Size: 5.00mm 1.5 skeins each of pink, green and cream I used Bernat Satin Yarn in Fern and Flamingo mixed with Caron Simply Soft Off-White
OR make it with Red Heart! I recommend **Red Heart Super Saver Sage, Perfect Pink and Aran.
