Finished Crochet Blanket: Shell Stitch

So I finished the Wedding Gift I was making for a dear friend, this evening. It was basically like the pattern I posted previously but I added a different border. As I said on the Missed Stitched Facebook page, I am no pro-crocheter so I did my best with the shell border and corners.

And of course, photos! (Which I also did my best with, lol)

Crochet Shell Stitch Blanket

It's been a few months, I know. But I assure you I have been busy crocheting away! I've actually been working on two blankets. If you are signed up to Missed Stitches on Facebook, you will see a photo of one of them! Both are being worked in the shell stitch, an easy and beautiful cluster stitch.

I don't have a name for this blanket but I do have instructions on how I made mine!

I apologize for the color disparity, lighting varies in my apartment. This blanket measures 44" x 60" finished.  I used Caron Simply Soft yarn in 6oz sizes.  Orchid: 7 skeins Baby Brights Ombre: 3 skeins 5.00mm crochet hook Skill: Novice/Intermediate The shell stitch is a multiple of 6 cluster stitch for the way it works up. So if you want your blanket wider, count off 6 chains at a time then add 1 on the end.
