A New Year And A New Pattern!

Soft Bobbles Baby Blanket aka Effortless Baby Blanket

Crochet baby blankets are very popular and there are so many out there! Here's a little pattern for you to whip up for the newborn in your life. This pattern is very simple and very easy to make.

There are many on the web that are very similar to this with soft cluster stitches and thus is how I got my inspiration to make my own! I actually used a dish cloth pattern and turned it into a baby blanket.

I'm not perfect at making crochet patterns but I hope all the information any crocheter would need is in here!

Effortless Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern

Hook Size: H8
Gauge: 1” across cluster
Measures: 32” wide by 34"-36” long (sizes vary by crafter)
Supplies: 2 skeins each of three contrasting yarns.
I used one of my favorite brands of yarn- Caron Simply Soft in Soft BlueRoyal Blue and Off White.

Instructions:
Ch 122

Row 1: sc in second ch from hook and across

Row 2: ch 1, *(sc, ch 2, 4 dc) all in next sc, sk next 3 sc, repeat from * across, sc in last sc

Row 3: ch 3, 4 dc in 1st sc, *(sc, ch 2, 4 dc) all in next ch2sp, repeat from * across, sc in last sc

Repeat row 3 until 34” or desired length.

Here's the color layout I used:

4 cream
4 light blue
8 cream
4 dark blue
4 light blue
4 dark blue
4 cream
4 light blue
4 cream
4 dark blue
4 light blue
4 dark blue
8 cream
4 light blue
4 cream
